The training has 5 engaging character story lines. There are new features in this course designed to improve the learning experience. These new features include:
- Multi-sessional tracking of user content
- Notation facility for reflection and use in post-course review with manager
- Assessment and certification (note 100% required to pass)
- Works on desktops, tablets and mobiles
The E-learning training programme has been designed to raise awareness of the issue of CSE and provide all frontline practitioners with basic knowledge and skills to identify different models of CSE, knowledge on how to respond and the interventions to take to ensure that a young person is appropriately safeguarded.
Practitioners will be able to explore the issue of CSE through the unique stories of 5 individual young people from very different backgrounds.
The training programme will focus on signs, indicators, vulnerabilities, different types of CSE including online vulnerabilities, interventions and will tackle some of the myths and stereotypes linked to cases of CSE. A certificate is awarded subject to successful completion of the assessment. The certificate is emailed directly to the student.
The tool has been designed as an initial educational resource and may be used as a pre cursor to more in-depth training or as a refresher course.
