REBUILD

Rebuild project has been in development since 2017 in response to the increasing number of survivors identified as living in Derby through our founder Lesley’s volunteering with Upbeat Communities. Rebuild project has been developed to;

  • To build the RESILIENCE of survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery through needs led support
  • To EMPOWER an asset’s based approach to support and advocacy for survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery
  • To promote a sense of BELONGING in the community to improve the overall well being of survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery
  • To embrace a trauma informed practice model to allow survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery to feel UNDERSTOOD
  • To provide support that leads to increased INDEPENDENCE for survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery
  • Through partnering with other agencies create opportunities for survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery to LEARN new skills for training, education and employment
  • To partner in a DETERMINED attitude to encourage survivors of human trafficking, exploitation and modern slavery to integrate into local communities and thrive in all aspects of life such as family life, community life, employment and education.

Rebuild Project exists to provide long term aftercare to those who are no longer in exploitation however, there is always a passion to raise awareness of Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking and Exploitation in the communities across Derby and beyond.
