GW Theatre Company is based in Manchester and has a national reputation for the specialised creative work it produces to tackle pressing social issues with children and young people. Over the last 5 years GW has produced two acclaimed projects tackling CSE: A play and film called Somebody’s Sister, Somebody’s Daughter, about sexual grooming, for young people 14+, and a play, an animation and a book called Mr Shapeshifter, for 9-11 year olds, about the way some adults abuse the trust of children and how children can work together and with trusted adults to protect themselves. The company is currently producing KPOW, a new project for 6-8 year olds to develop online resilience, digital literacy and emotional capacity.
