Alcohol and Drugs Action
Free, confidential information, advice and support to anyone under the age of 25 on any issue relating to sexual exploitation. The project is part of Drugs Actions range of service’s based in Aberdeen. As a new and unique service to the north-east we aim to prevent the sexual exploitation of young people and support those who have or who are currently experiencing sexual exploitation, while at the same time raising awareness amongst professionals and communities alike through offering; One to one support Awareness-raising group work sessions for under 25s and their workers We aim to; Improve young peoples understanding of sexual exploitation while highlighting the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships, allowing them to recognise when something is not right. Equip young people with the skills and knowledge to help keep them safe. Make young people aware of their own rights and what other services they can access for support and advice. By giving young people these skills we are helping them to make informed life decisions and support them to move away from exploitative situations.

Barnardos Child and Family Spport Services
Barnardos Child and Family Spport Services works with children and young people who have experienced abuse. We provide a range of interventions for children and young people who have experienced or are at risk of sexual exploitation. We provide 1:1 support; therapeutic work where appropriate; help young people develop increased confidence and resilience, enable them to gain better understanding of the factors which can lead to sexual exploitation, help them to develop safety strategies and help build stronger support and protective networks around the child/young person. Our group programme – FACE (Fighting Against Child Exploitation) is an award winning programme which supports and enables young people to support others who have experienced or are at risk of sexual exploitation; raise awareness of sexual exploitation and the factors which can increase the risks of sexual exploitation; develop and produce resource for professionals and young people – such as the Nae Danger pack and the FaceUp2It website (http://www.faceup2it.org/); and contribute to training for professionals and community groups.

Barnardos Safer Choices Glasgow
Barnardo’s Safer Choices service provides independent support to children and young people under the age of 18 who may be experiencing a crisis and are frequenting Glasgow city centre, including young people who may have run away from their family home or residential care, or who are or at risk of being exploited, particularly through sexual exploitation. The aims of the service are to support children and young people to identify risk and devise strategies to reduce this risk and thus reduce harm.

Streetwork, a local charity in Edinburgh, has long experience in helping people who find themselves living on, or at risk from the streets. Our staff are our biggest asset delivering flexible services and meeting the highest standards. Our services meet the needs of young runaways, women and young people fleeing violence, sex workers, migrants and those overtaken by challenging circumstances. We go out, we seek, we find and connect with people on the street or at risk. We aim to work in a partnership based on respect and trust to help people to find their own solutions. Runaways Action Project This project works with children and young people aged 11-18 who have run away, or are at risk of running away. We offer one to one support, educational workshops in schools and youth settings and street based outreach. Women’s Project Working with women and young people experiencing domestic violence, those involved in commercial sexual exploitation, or at risk of being so, this service offers one to one individually tailored support and street based outreach.
