“Say Something if you See Something” New Resources

The NWG Network are proud to formally release the new “Say Something if you See Something” resources on National CSE Awareness Day 2018.

The new resource has been improved from suggestions from the NWG network membership which reflects the changing nature of the exploitation of children. The previous campaign was very successful with the resource package being downloaded over 60.000 times!

The new campaign has resources for Hotel and Leisure Industry, the Night Time Economy, the transportation industry covering taxi and private hire vehicles as well as resources for Bus and Train Stations and Sports and music venues.

PowerPoint presentations for companies to deliver to their workforce are also included and are now also available in 5 different languages. The presentations for the workforce comprehensively cover Child Sexual Exploitation and Human trafficking and guidance on how to report such offences.

There is guidance about how to use the new resources as well as a newly developed evaluation tool. We are hoping that private companies operating in the relevant industries will use the evaluation tool to monitor how effective their safeguarding children and vulnerable adult’s policies are and will be a very useful tool to highlight to their management structures and shareholders of their ongoing commitment to cooperate social responsibility for their customers and their staff groups.

Local Safeguarding Children and Adult Boards will also be able to use the evaluation tool to monitor the effective safeguarding arrangements across their areas and report back to strategic partners about the progress that is made across the different industries in awareness raising and also the reporting of concerns.

We hope that this new resource that is available to download at no cost from the NWG website will help Industry and local authorities to protect children and vulnerable adults. Please do look at our website and the complete suite of resources and start downloading today!
