Kev’s Blog. 25th May 2016
Good morning colleagues,
I am the NWG Networks new Education and Community Development Officer, I started last week on Monday 16th May 2016. I am currently going through my induction process with the team and learning about all the polices and protocols of the NWG and how the organisation works. I have started to contact colleagues from other organisations working within the field of CSE. On Monday I was pleased to meet Eleanor Vine from Loudmouth as some of her team was delivering an excellent training session fro pupils from St Martins Special School in Derby. Matt and Jo really engaged the audience in what is a very difficult subject to broach with children.
This week I also assisted Bina who is one of our specialist team members to deliver our CSE foundation training course to 24 colleagues from a variety of organisations from around the country. We had delegates from Cornwall to Scotland and Wales to London, the training was well received and it was heartening to meet so many dedicated professionals wishing to learn more about CSE. Today we are all having some IT training on our new IT recording system which we are looking forward to!
I will post regular blogs about the developing work that I will be doing for the NWG and please do call if any of you out there would like a chat about your organisation or would like to meet up with me to discuss my new role
