News from IICA plus G7 Principal Researcher vacancy in the research team

We are recruiting a G7 Principal Researcher – the application deadline is 13th December 2020.

This role is an opportunity to play a major part in the final stages of the Inquiry’s research programme on child sexual abuse. The successful candidate will have experience in leading projects using a range of qualitative and quantitative research skills. They will be familiar with different data collection and analysis techniques and have very well-developed report writing skills. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and will be ambitious in promoting the use of social research and creating a research legacy among a range of internal and external stakeholders.
We specifically welcome applications from groups currently underrepresented in our workforce and in the wider government social research profession.
Child sexual abuse in sports
There has been a lot of interest from people in the UK and globally in our Truth Project thematic report on child sexual abuse in sports. We’ve now filmed a short video explaining the research findings and answering questions from victims and survivors.

Truth Project thematic report on child sexual abuse in healthcare contexts
We are planning to publish new research on the experiences of victims and survivors who were sexually abused in healthcare contexts that were shared with the Truth Project. The report will be published later this week.
Truth Project thematic report on child sexual abuse in the context of schools
We are also planning to publish a new Truth Project thematic report on “Child sexual abuse in the context of schools” in December 2020. The analysis will draw on over 600 accounts from victims and survivors who were sexually abused in the context of schools and shared their experience with the Truth Project.
