We are looking to commission the next phase of our Key messages from research papers and would be very grateful if you could share the tendering opportunity with your networks.
Our ‘Key messages from research’ papers aim to provide succinct, relevant information for frontline practitioners and commissioners. They bring together the most up-to-date research into an accessible overview, supporting confident provision of the best possible responses to child sexual abuse.
The CSA Centre plans to produce three further ‘Key messages from research’ papers following on from those we have already published. The aim of these publications is to seek to enable practitioners to learn from the research evidence in providing the best possible services to prevent CSA, support victims and those at risk, and understand and disrupt offenders. They should increase confidence to take appropriate action, while being cautious in claims made as to the strength of the research evidence. The gaps in knowledge will be identified but will not be the focus of these summaries.
The ‘Key messages’ papers will focus on the following subjects:
- Identifying and responding to disclosures of child sexual abuse;
- Looked after children and child sexual abuse;
- Boys and young men who experience child sexual abuse.
We are seeking an individual or organisation with high calibre relevant research expertise and a portfolio of writing succinct accessible reports for frontline practitioners. Proposers must be able to demonstrate how they will successfully gather relevant literature, contact key stakeholders and synthesise the information. A response can be for one or multiple papers outlined above.
The deadline for proposals is 26 October 2018, and you can find out more about the opportunity and how to apply here.
If you have any questions about this area of work, please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
